An fd?! Wouldn't a file stream (FILE*) be somewhat more appropriate? Like,
more portable. Unless the path where the tempfile should be created really
is crucial, what about the following?
FILE* ABI_mkstemp(const char* szPrefix)
return fopen(tmpnam(szPrefix), "wb");
