Subject: problem with the libiconv update

Hub,
I did a cvs update on the libiconv directory, and the result
is somewhat of a mess. It looks to me as if the update to
1.7 is only partially complete.
For example:
There are a large number of header files in the src directory
which have been moved to the lib directory in 1.7. Shouldn't
the old 1.0 versions be "cvs rm"'ed ?
The autoconf files appear to be the out-of-date 1.0 versions
rather than the 1.7 versions. These are files such as config.guess,
ltmain.sh, configure, etc...
Finally, src/iconv.c appears to have significant differences
with the one I get from the libiconv-1.7.tar.gz file.
Any idea what happened?
The actual problem I am experiencing is that the autoconf build
doesn't work with the new libiconv, but before I spend time
figuring out what is wrong I want to make sure I have the correct
bits... If I use the libiconv-1.7.tar.gz bits rather than the
CVS bits, then the autoconf build works just fine.
Alec
