Since you're using linux, you should be able to do:
md5sum abisuite-0.9.2-Linux_ppc_gtk*
since md5sum is normally installed. If it is not, then in you linuxppc
cds should be a package with it.
The result of that program, are the md5sums of the files passed as
argument.
