Ok, I'm learning.
I woke up 30 minutes ago and the first thought that hit my mind was:
"No! I did it all wrong last night!". I instantaneously had a couple of
things clear to me, that I had done wrong last night.
(for example, duuh, the %install-stage is performed (as the others) when
the rpm is built. I had my mental image of that a bit wrong last night.
Anyway, so that makes my question about whether it is the right thing to
do, to keep the files tared until %install is run, totally meaningless.)
I've now fixed those things.
