Yeah, sorry about that. I've never seen a compiler complain about nested
comments before last night. Easily fixed, though - just edit the patch...

I'm going to try to create a static binary release. Currently c++
complains about the -all-static option but builds anyway, but whether it's
dynamic or static I have no idea yet.
