They haven't denied that there are usefull features on sourceforge
available only under proprietary software.

I didn't say that we couldn't. I said that I can't do it and be
consistent with my ideals, and do not advise doing it. But I can not and
(would not) force anyone else here who doesn't object to that practice
to restrict from doing that.
