Whazzat?
It's a tool that allows you to make a mirror of the CVS repository on
your computer. Very nice for people with dial-up lines or those who
hack AbiWord on a laptop.
I've added some instructions for how to make use of it here:

I would appreciate feedback if it isn't working as documented, or if
the documentation isn't good enough to get you started.
Sam and others(?) may want to have a look at /etc/inittab on parsons
and make sure they're happy with it. I've also added /usr/sbin/cvsupd
and /etc/cvsupd. The daemon is probably available in Debian, but I
wouldn't know how to get it. I'm happy for anyone to make a better
installation (the binary I installed is just a static built version).
