Hello,
We are a volenteer organization and we rely on volenteers to build
binaries for various platforms. There is a person who makes debian
packages of of our gtk-only build for SID and these are released within a
hour or two of the release. These can be acquired via the usual apt-get
arrangement.
However he refuses to make gnome builds of abiword so unless someone else
volenteers to build and a thrid person volenteers volenteers to test,
gnome-based debian users have to look elsewhere. I believe that ximian
makes debian packages of the gnome-build. You might find them there.
Finally you might try using the alien to install the rpm's.
Good luck!
Martin
