Hi Folks,
You'll need a make realclean after this. Sorry I lost the commit
message but there are quite a few files changed.
This commit enables the maximum column height and space after controls in
the columns dialog.
Other platform maintainers should look at the attached screen shot. I
believe that this commit won't change the behaviour on other platforms but
a fair bit of work will be needed to implement this.
In particular the spin buttons nicely handle dimensioned units. The idea
is that the user can type in sizes in whatever units they wish and the
spin button button will increment/decrement in sensible amounts in those
units.
The idea for this was taken from the spin button on the tab dialog.
At some stage we should implement this for the paragraph dialog too.
Anyway, I really like this feature. With it we can use abiword to create
labels and posters. Set the height of the columns to the height of the
labels. Set the number of columns and page diemensions to match the width
of the labels :-)
Type in text and AbiWord will automatically break to the next column when
the maximum height is reached.
For posters, set the page size to A0 and the column height to a reasonable
page size. AbiWord will automatially fill layout a rectangular array of
correct sized text.
