Sorry for not replying sooner. i just read the AWN which mentioned that
no one replied to your post so i felt that i really should, its not that
anyone was ignoring you its just that people probably did not they could
say anything particularly useful.
Suggestions or good but its much more helpful if you put together a
small example graphic button (or whatever it is you would like to see
and submit it to the list. if you send an example to the list of what
you think we should have then im sure you will get lots of feed back,
just look at the recent discussion suggestion a new splash screen.
If you open up an Abiword document in a standard text editor there are
about 5 lines of xml comments saying it is made with abiword.
If the HTML export deos not already contains a Meta tag saying it was
added by abiword then it probably will at some stage.
The whole idea of "watermarking" is forever associated in my mind with
nasty closed proprietary systems, but i like the general idea of trying
to encourage users to promote abiword. I think it would be have a
download button like Adobe Acrobat does.
