Hi
As has been noted here lately the current abispell packages isn't
working correctly for languages that doesn't use latin1. To deal with it
we need to know what character-set every language use.
Based on (www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/8859.html and
czyborra.com/charsets/iso8859.html) I have made a little table. If
anyone has any corrections (I'm sure there'll be some) please speak up
and make the table correct.
Catalan iso 8859-1
Czech iso 8859-2
Danish iso 8859-1
German iso 8859-1
Greek iso 8859-7
English iso 8859-1
Esperanto iso 8859-3
Spanish iso 8859-1
Frensh iso 8859-1
Irish gaelic iso 8859-1
Italian iso 8859-1
Latvian iso 8859-4 or iso 8859-13
Dutch iso 8859-1
Norwegian iso 8859-1
Norwegian(nynorsk) iso 8859-1
Polish iso 8859-2 or iso 8859-13
Portuguese iso 8859-1
Russian iso 8859-5
Swedish iso 8859-1
I'm not sure about the ones that have more than one possible encoding.
With Latvian we are currently using 13 so it seems to be reasonable to
keep doing that. So what about Polish?
When we have a confirmed correct table, I can incorporate the changes in
a new set of abispell builds.
Take care
/Gabriel
