Subject: adding CP1251 support in AbiWord

Hi guys,
I successfully installed Abiword and it opens Cyrillic MS Word 2000/XP
documents very well.
That is a great pleasure for me as Open Office is too resource heavy for
my machine
Still - there is one problem for Using AbiWord in Bulgaria.
We use here WINDOWS-CP1251. KOI type encodings are not popular here at
all. CP1251 is used everywhere - mail, HTML,
MS Word (95), even plain text. Actually we do not even use recoding
programs because CP1251 suits us fine.
CP1251 has some nice typographic characters that we tend to use. (and
are not present in the popular in Russia KOI8)
(Nobody is using ISO-8895-5 here, even Java programmers in Bulgaria hate
it!)
So I was wondering - can you include support for CP1251 (as UnixFonts
hints this).
Usually our locale is bg_BG, when written in full it is bg_BG.CP1251
Still the proper naming of the fonts is
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-microsoft-cp1251
(so the part after the dot in locale is not the same as the proper name
of the font encoding).
How are we going to solve that.
Best regards:
