OpenOffice document, XML based, may be worth going to. This one is documented.

Any doc on the file format ? I have some CDs of that bundled with ThinkPad
lying around. These are unused because the laptop was either running Linux
or was wipped out to use MSFT crap.

Also PatheticWriter from SIAG Office. No doc but source code. More readable
than StarOffice's. Dom started something on that, but he had more urgent
matters.
There is also Applix that Dom and I started working on but have been delayed
for the same reason. This one is fully documented.
