    Another way to do this in an XP manner is with a Perl
    plugin. Perl comes with libraries that can do FTP and
    HTTP downloads. Of course we don't have Perl plugins
    yet but we have this RFE:

    Did you make it as a plugin by the way? It probably
    should be since it requires curl anyway. Nice work!
