This won't be happening in the 1.0.x tree. Right now we're actively
working on the 1.1 tree, where we plan on using Pango. Pango can
intelligently tell us where words begin and end properly. There is
really no way to do this inside of our current codebase, though if this
really bugs you, please send a patch to correct it.
