    Well the "right" thing to do would be to build from pristine sources but
    in this case I think you should build the plugin binaries with your
    additional patches.

    This will be our big chance to get windows users who make up 95% of the
    computer using population. I think we should put our best foot forward
    for this.

    However I will back down if people violentently object.
