    Give me a day or so to lay the groundwork. I've just written a bunch of
    convenience functions for creating and manipulating modal dialogs. I've
    also laid the framework for an XP dialog help system (triggered by the
    F1 key).

    Your help (and others) is very much welcomed after I do some basic work.
    Hub - what are your thoughts on creating a GTK+-2 branch that we can
    re-merge into HEAD when it at least compiles?
