commit HEAD: revisions, nearly there

    OK, while there is still much to be done, I have now got the
    piecetable methods insertSpan, deleteSpan and chaneSpanFmt
    implemented, so that normal editing of text in Revisions mode
    works quite nicely. Just type some text in, then go to Tools-
    >Revisions->Mark, and afterwards just make changes. You can
    then turn the revision off and then on again, choosing a new
    revision from the dialog (oh, sorry, win32 only for now) and make
    some more changes. With the revisions mode off, you can then
    accept and reject the revisions using the context menu -- enjoy!
