It does not work.
Most people dont read documentation.
The wiki documentation cannot easily be merged into the documentation that
is included with Abiword so the work is somewhat redundant.
I dont like Wiki, i have never pretended to like Wiki. i add comments
grudgingly and take no responsibility for the maintaince and organisation
to run wiki.
I provide the information, which i am less and less likely to provide in
future as i become more busy. If no one takes note and it gets lost and
buried in the mailing list archive so be it. I might be willing to
explain it again i might not. I contribute in my own way and if it is not
good enough then ... i dont know.
I would add a link the the mailing list post but i really dont care to
learn the wiki syntax. If can asurre me that pasting <a href=""> work i
will actually do it. If there was a wiki version that was less ugly* in
its results and had an input system more to my liking i might actually use
it.

I wont try and explain my irrational* dislike for Wiki as it will probably
only annoy you.
I appreciate you efforts Jesper, and i hope you dont take it personally.
And i just like randomly using the word monkey.

* not so much ugly as cluttered, do we really need to advertise the fact
that it is wiki/twiki? it is obtrusive and it only adds clutter. I also
think that having all the editing features exposed is a design flaw
prioritising the developers over the end users.
* irrational, only because i dont care to site down and think through
exactly all the little details of trying to use a system like Wiki that
bother me. I dont have time to do usability study and i highly
expect i will be told by some smart ass that it is fine and that if i want
something better i will have to do it myself.
The attitude of "the code is available, so patch it" is almost as
condescending and a gross an oversimpification as RTFM.
no one ever says "here is the scalpel here is the text book it is only
brain surgery"
