Thanks all of you for the info. Sounds like you are doing this right (coming
from Mr VI himself that must be meaningful ;-)).
I like the idea of just running a little perl script to strip out the png
images in a file and then another pass to get the text. Maybe implement some
of the DOM so I can then translate into *ML and ... ah the endless posibilities
;-).

Just thought of another cool fact this storage system will present. Doing rcs
on the abiword file will take into acount incremental changes in the
graphic.?(maybe? any rcs/cvs guru's have a comment?).
