I have recently installed zipslack (slackware linux) on an old 486 dx
with a 270Mb HD and 12Mb Ram. I am trying to get some life out of it
and the only word processor that I can get to run on it is Abiword
0.7.5. I'm impressed. Every other word processor I tried choked badly
but Abiword choked the least. I had a problem it not finding the Times
New Roman fonts but I patched that up with help from this mailing list.
It doesn't run real quick, but it certainly is usable.
