This looks like a very good start! The following is not really a
critique but is just a list of ideas that came up as I read the
Tutorial.
Opening and Saving files might mention those formats which can be
recognized automatically and the ones available for saving.
It is true that a help or tutorial file will have to change as features
are added but, when the currently missing menu dialogs are developed,
IV. "Advanced formatting" (?) seems the obvious place for them (IMHO).
This section would seem to be a good place for topics like insertion of
pictures. When positioning of pictures is developed the methods might be
included.
III might be called "General Controls" and I think might include
Preference Setting and Schemes. What do you intend to put in "Putting it
all together"?
Given some previous correspondence, the use of the "Compose" key might
be included in II. I realize it is not specifically an Abiword topic but
I think it would be useful.
