Hello, all.
I'm presently using AbiWord with Windoze98, and have
not experienced any problem with version 7.8 as of yet.
(Why I am using 'doze at the moment may or may not be
relevant to the discussion, but don't flame me for
it...I expect to have another Linux box up shortly.)
Under 'doze, the drop-down boxes mostly say that an
item a person would want - in particular, page
numbering - isn't available, but if you want to code it
yourself, go ahead, but please send any good results to
Abi.
Which is as it should be, under the 'open' software
license.
Re the segmentation faults, while I was using Linux (RH
ver 6.0) I encountered segmentation faults while using
Word Perfect and the word processing portion of Star
Office 5.1...especially with SO.
This being the case...that all three affected programs
are not only dealing with word processing, but also
that two of them are work-alikes for Word
Perfect...there might be some one file that all three
use that might be causing a common problem.
As I said, at the moment I am not using Linux, so I
can't say anything else.
I hope the gurus out there can find the problem.
Zak
