I think the double-click way is just my normal way of doing it, so I
hadn't really noticed a problem. When I saw this thread, I experimented
and discovered that the select+OK method made the bug show itself. I
learned a rule from the Mac User Interface Guidelines a long time ago
(before MS Windows came out) to the effect that in a dialog like that,
double-clicking a list item should have the same effect as
select+default button (OK is the default button here -- I mistakenly
called it "Open" above). Or... select+hit enter key. This also fails
(same behavior as select+OK).
