Since you're trying to compile against this library, I would think you
would need to get the "devel" version of the package. For example, I see
on the ximian site:
http://spidermonkey.ximian.com/distributions/RedHat-6/gal-devel-0.4.1-0_helix_1.i386.rpm
That's for RedHat 6.2 but I think they have versions for others.
Alternatively, if you built libgal from source, you wouldn't need the
"devel". The header files would come with the tarball, I believe.
