That's what I though too when I first heard it. But it has nothing to do
with Bi-directional printer ports. It has to do with the bi-dierctional
flow of text that is required by documents that mix hebrew and english.
It's pretty impressive actually. There are currently some limitations(in
abiword bidi), lists aren't handled very well for example, and I think
the program will crash if you open a regular document in the BiDi
version of abiword.
