Hi,
You need to download and install a french dictionary.
On http:/www.sourceforge.net/projects/abiword you will find a file called
'abispell' which contains ~25 ispell dictionaries.
cp french.hash /path/to/AbiSuite/dictionary
usually this is /usr/share/AbiSuite/dictionary for Unix but it might differ
based on your platform (probably- C:\Program Files\AbiSuite\dictionary for
Win32)
It should all "just work"
