Yes i used it before i think back with version 0.7.9 or so and in between
in hasn't worked for me i tried .11 and .12 and didn't work for them
either. I have slackware 3.6 with libc5 support and some kind of
pre-glibc2 stuff also...

libc.so.4.7.6 and libc.so.5.4.46 and libc-2.0.7.so

those came with slackware 3.6 .

I also have gcc 2.8.1 installed in the the /usr/local directory tree with
the libstdc++ 2.8.1 library also in /usr/local/lib, if that matters at
all. But the much older version of abiword worked just fine even with
all that already present back then.
