How to install on WinXP so that multiple users can use AbiWord?

I have a Windows XP OS that I wish to install AbiWord on. I have three
users on the box. Administrator (Windows built-in administrator
account), A (admin. rights), B (limited rights). All users own their
"My Documents" unshared. I am using simple file sharing.

If I install Abiword when logged in as A, when logged in as B the user
can't access various files. Abiword starts up, but when opening some
normally shared documents Abiword demands a password. If user B tries
to use Abiword through the "Run As..." facility, running as A, then the
    document may be edited OK.

If I install Abiword when logged in as administrator I get the same
results as when installing logged in as A. I think I installed it as
administrator once and got things working, but I can't remember what I did.

My question is, how can I install Abiword on XP so that it allows any of
my users to run the program?

    Actually I have a 2nd question, or problem. I can't drag a file from
Explorer (or My Computer) onto an already-opened Abiword program. Am I
doing something wrong, or is Abiword incapable of this?

    TIA,
    Jerome.
