There are perl builds that allow scripting

if i wanted to do this without writing a script i would:
    create real simple document
with at least one font and one color
open it in a text editor
cut and paste and do some find and replace tricks

it might be easiest to do this externally to Abiword and just import the
result rather than trying to do it through scripting Abiword.

    sorry, i am not volunteering.

maybe there is some programming or scripting language you do know and
could generate the document using that instead?

    Good luck figuring this out
