Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are horrified and ashamed
by your complaint. Our Consumer Support division is clearly lacking in
some respects and the ones responsible for this outrage will lose their
jobs. Investigation is under way.

Please be so kind as to use AbiWord's brand new "Report a Bug"
functionality, available from the Help menu. Please follow the steps
suggested to you by Bugzilla, the bug-tracking system that we use.
Bugzilla is advertised as a very reliable product and we will complain to
its customer service if it does not fulfil your expectations. If possible,
please consider attaching the offending Word file -- that will make it
easier for our Technical Support team to serve you.

(Since you installed AbiWord yourself, I assume that you are using our
latest release, version 0.99.1; while we're at it, please also excuse this
kind of version numbering, the fact that I do not use html mail and the
fact that I self-appointed myself as the PR Officer for Today (PRoT). I
hope you have already excused the delay with which I answered your mail
this time. Or else I am going to lose my new position, which is a
prospect I would rather avoid. Thank you for your understanding and
patience.)

Best regards,
Piotr Banski
