Yes, I didn't realize there are plugins already available. Dom has answered
this, and I just recovered from my high moment finding the thesaurus plugins
    available.
More and more people are converted to linux and abiword in my community, and
I just set up 3 linux machine (with abiword of course) for 3 lay people. They
are all complaining about thesaurus. Now I can show them !! :) That's why I
    asked.

I fully understand this, and I am grateful for the developers of abiword.
They've done an incredible job. As a college student, it's impossible for me
to sponsor. The only way that I think I can contribute (and I want to) at
this point is by using abiword and testing, filling bugs report if I find
    any.
I've joined the dev list also, in the hope that I can contribute something
more since I am a programmer my self, but I think I still lack the knowledge
and courage to join in yet. Maybe in the future.
