    Hi all,

    i have tried to compile Abiword 1.0.1 under FreeBSD 4.5 from the source.
    If i run "autogen.sh" i get the following error message:

       automake (GNU automake) 1.5
       Creating aclocal.m4...
       aclocal: both `configure.ac' and `configure.in' present: ignoring
       `configure.in'
       automake: both `configure.ac' and `configure.in' present: ignoring
       `configure.in'
       Can't call method "target_hook" on an undefined value at
       /usr/local/bin/automake line 1943.

    The line 1943 in my automake says:
       $lang->target_hook ($aggregate, $object, $full);

    I have the correct versions of automake and autoconfig installed.
    And the LANG setting seems to be correct too.

       LANG=de_DE.ISO_8859-1

    What have i missed?

    thanks
    Carsten
