This morning, I tried using aw on a couple of winWord docs I was sent, but
it was not as positive as I hoped -- expected, actually -- it would be. So,
I'm reporting what happened. If it's user error then I'd certainly like to
learn how to do it correctly. If these are program bugs then the developers
certainly need to be aware of them.

When I finished with one document, I opened the second one then tried to
close the first (with ctrl-w). AbiWord shut down. This surprised me.

In the second document I blocked all text and changed the font and
line justification to Times Roman/12 pt and full. On some paragraphs (not
all) the final line was smeared across the page width rather than being
    ragged-right. I couldn't find a place to correct this.

While rummaging around the menu system for the above, I checked out the
Format > Page > Margins and discovered that the left and right margins were
set to 1.2 inches. I changed them to 1.0 inches, but could not save the
changes; the application told me the margins were too big for the page.
Well, it doesn't make any sense to me, but I'm only the end user here. So I
    cancelled the attemped margin change.

Finally, I discovered where to Insert > Page numbers and tried to do so. I
changed the default selections from Header to Footer and from Upper Right to
Center. As soon as I selected "OK", AW shut down on me. So, it's not working
    as I'd expect.

    Comments solicited,

    Rich
