What's the status of import filters?

      How close is AbiWord to being able to import WordPerfec/8 docs? I have
    about a decade's worth of project files and WP no longer works on the 2.4.19
    kernel with glibc-2.2. I need a way to access these files with a living,
    breathing word processor.
