    Hello

I was just trying to install the latest AbiWord
abiword-gnome-bidi-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm since I needed to write in Japanese.
Besides, the currently installed abiword-0.7.14-7 in my Red Hat Linux
    7.2 has
recently had a strange tendency of starting automatically at every boot
    time although I did
not set up anything related to this; so I wanted to replace it with the
latest, expecting that the installation would be a piece of cake even
    for persons
with little knowledge of computer science. But I got the complaint:

    [root@localhost AbiWord]# rpm -Uvh abiword-gnome-bidi-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm
    error: failed dependencies:
        abiword-fonts is needed by abiword-1.0.3-1
        libgal.so.19 is needed by abiword-1.0.3-1

And I could not find these abiword-fonts and libgal.so.19 but
    libgal19-0.19-2.i386.rpm
as the closest one to libgal.so.19. The installation of this package has
    been
    also incomplete:

    [root@localhost RHL]# rpm -Uvh libgal19-0.19-2.i386.rpm
    error: failed dependencies:
        gal >= 0.19 is needed by libgal19-0.19-2

This sequence of dependency, even if I could handle, seems going on and
    on forever.
So my conclusion is that I have been doing something wrong because the
    installation of
AbiWord should not be that complicated. Would anyone please tell me what
    I am missing
    here?

    Regards,
    Gilbert
