In KDE there's a utility, kcharselect, that lets me hard-insert special
characters like curly quotes (aka smart quotes), em/en dashes and the
euro sign. Is there any way to do the same in Abiword 1.1.4 (cvs) or
Gnome/GTK 2 in general?
Also, I think it would complement the "Enable smart quotes" option if
there's a similar option to autoformat two "hyphens" ("--") into one
em-dash.
