My question (detailed and explained below is: Where am I supposed to
locate this "fribidi" directory and should it just be unpacked or
compiled?
---I'm running OS X 10.2.6 with Developer Tools 12-02 installed on a tibook 667 with plenty of RAM. I downloaded the abicocoa sources per the following instructions without problem:
-----------------------------------------------------
Tonight I'm playing with abiword for os X again. For those willing to try it ou, do has follow :
Open Terminal Create a news dir called abi ( mkdir abi ) go into the directory ( cd abi ) setenv CVSROOT :pserver:anoncvs@anoncvs.abisource.com:/cvsroot cvs login answer anoncvs cvs co abicocoa
this will take some time a README file should be downloaded read it and then have fun compiling.
--------------------------------------------------
The problem began with the readme of the abicocoa sources. It needs fribidi to be unpacked in a particular directory, but it doesn't clearly specify which. Here's the pertinent part of the readme:
------------------------------------------------------ "This directory contains Apple ProjectBuilder projects to build wv, libpng and fribidi as MacOS X frameworks. These libraries are required by AbiWord.
If you have gotten this source from CVS by checking out the CVS module abicocoa, then you have almost everything that is need to build. It needs the fribidi source which should be unpacked in the "fribidi" directory in that directory. <http://fribidi.sf.net/> It also needs fink <http://fink.sf.net/> with glib2 and libiconv installed. (any other installation can be fine, but you'll have to tweak the projects as they currently rely on fink)
Otherwise, you need to untar the source in that directory as a peer of the project directories."...
----------------------------------------------------------------------- My question is where am I supposed to locate this "fribidi" directory and should it just be unpacked or compiled?
Thanks in advance
