Hi Luke,
I suggest you switch to Debian "sid" or a later model redhat.
AbiWord-2.0 uses all sorts of latest technology stuff including
fontconfig and xft2. I would urprised if these are supported on "woody"
but they come by default on sid.
I'd be very curious to know whether AbiWord-2.0 gives acceptable
performance on a machine so few resources.
