I compiled 1.0.4 from source as the Mandrake cooker rpm wanted all sorts of
dependencies that I do not have. My experience with 1.0.3 was such that I did
not bother trying to sort them out but went straight to the source. However, I
could not find the source plugins so installed the cooker rpms. The ImageMagick
one is installed in the plugins directory but does not show in the plugins menu.
Could it be my ImageMagick is too old?

The Aiksaurus plugin calls up the delightful Aiksaurus thesaurus ready loaded
with the highlighted word. I can easily enough call it separately and copy the
word in so it is no great problem - just an inconvenience.
