Close, but the problem is not limited to just one of the 1.0.x versions.
The problem is in the bidirectional text code, which was included in the
default builds for versions 1.0.3, 1.0.4, and 1.0.5. It is likely that the
1.0.2 bidi build (which was not the default) also included the problem.
When I first encountered this problem, I reverted to the default (non-bidi)
1.0.2 version. Jeremy Davis then built an unofficial non-bidi 1.0.4, which
is still available at http://abiword.pchasm.org/builds/release/ (thanks,
Jeremy). Now there is an official non-bidi 1.0.5 build, although it is not the
default. Any future 1.0.x version is likely to be non-bidi only.
The good news is that the problem is fixed in the development (HEAD) branch,
and apparently the bidi functionality has been significantly extended.
Cheers - Stephen.
