The Spanish spell check takes words containing an accented letter and tells
you to replace the accented letter with an apostrophe followed by the same
letter unaccented. In other words (if you can display the following) it
replaces más with m'as or señor with se'nor.

I'm using AbiWord 1.99-6 under Win 98SE and have both English and Spanish
keyboards installed. However, the problem described occurs whether I use the
Spanish keyboard or insert accented characters by Insert/Special Symbol. The
Spanish dictionary came as abispell-MXi386.zip, which I unzipped to the
    AbiSuite/Dictionary folder.
