As far as I can remember, I'm not a Windows user at all, the
OpenOffice.org plugins are non functionnal of windows because libgsf
hasn't be ported (or simply does not work) yet. libgsf is required in
order to open the OpenOffice.org files.
Some Win guru here might correct me if I'm wrong.
