I've got a headache and so few line breaks makes reading you message much
more difficult, anyway I'll try and respond as best I can.

The Plugins page at http://www.abisource.com/download/plugins.phtml says
to look at the downloads page http://www.abisource.com/download/ which
    says:
Import / Export plugins (Source Code)
Included in the main AbiWord tarball. No longer available separately.

So if you have the source code for 2.0.2 then you should have the source
    code for the plugins

    http://abiword.pchasm.org/source/docs/build/BUILD.html

i think you need to do something roughly like

    ./configure --with-plugins

if i had the source code to hand I would run ./configure --help
    to check the available options

I'm just guessing, as a suggestion is usually more helpful than no answer
    at all.

you will need at least the gdkpixbuf plugin (or alternatively the bigger
and more comprehensive ImageMagick plugin). If you use the Gnome Build
you get the gdkpixbuf plugin for free it seems.

    tired ... head hurts.

hopefully my suggestion will give you enough to figure this out for
yourself or someone else will soon offer a better answer.
