Hi,
I am currently using fedora core 1, I am not sitting in front of it at the
moment but I am 90% certain it is abiword version 2.0.1 -upgrade is on my
todo list but I also noticed the font issue below under 2.0.2 on redhat 9.
I have over a 100 abiword documents (mostly poetry actually....) created
with different versions of abiword. At different times different fonts
have been available to abiword, either becuase of different versions of
the OS (red hat) or different versions of abiword. Any-way when I open
some documents they display using a font which I can't select from the
dropdown font list; so for example a document I was looking at last night
had some text in times new roman (it looked like times new roman and if I
put the cursor on the text abiword reported that it was times new roman)
but if I selected some other text and tried to make it times new roman as
well, times new roman was not a font offered in the font list. Which is
frustrating since abiword obviously found the font somewhere in order to
display it in the first place.
I am not sure if this is an abiword problem or fedora problem but I will
mention it any-way- abiword on fedora core 1 dies horribly if you try to
copy text to the clipboard. Not nice! I will upgrade to 2.0.2 and see if
it still happens...
Abiword rocks BTW.
Cheers
Murray
