What fonts does this show up on? Is 100% smaller than "page width"?
Try some other zooms, which look OK? What's your screen resolution?
Thanks!

When typing text, certain letter combinations create an effect such that one letter, say an 'a', is an extra space away from the next letter in a word. So, if I try to type "the", I get "t he".

Only certain letter combinations do this, and even these can change (in the case of 'the', it only occurs on the first line of a new paragraph, not in the body of the text. In other cases, it always happens). The text looks terrible and is hard to read with all the spacing glitches that come up intermittantly in the text.
