Well, I just sent an email to Dataviz, described Shannon's findings
and Martin's reply and requested that they have a look at the problem.
It seems that one is eligible for support for 90 days after the
purchase of an Oem-Version. We will see if anything useful comes out
of this - I personally very much doubt it. I still hope that one of
you developers has a look at the problem - after all, Rtf is not
such a complicated format afaik.
