Cannot print in Windows 2000

I'm using Windows 2000 SP4 and a Brother 1440. Whenever I try to print
in Abiword, nothing happens. If I go to the print manager (double
clicking on my printer from control panel), it says the print was
successful, but the size of the file is only 48 bytes (?).

Other programs print without a problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Solutions?
