You should be able to open up the normal.awt file from your profile
directory (see the pchasm page). In there, if you go to Format, Style,
Create and Modify, select Normal and click modify, then choose Format
and Font from the popup window, you should be able to set your default
font face and size. Save the template, close AbiWord, and try opening
AbiWord again.
