If you want to get good answers it is important to ask good questions.
You would do well to read this document:

It always helps to let us know if you are using an old version of Abiword
(an upgrade is often recommended) or an a particularly operating system
(Windows has a lot more problems than Linux, Windows ME is particularly
awful).
Can you think of anything unusual you might have tried that might have
caught out abiword?

The abiword file format is XML based so it should be possible to open it
up in text editor and see what happened.
Please create a bug report in Bugzilla http://bugzilla.abisource.com and
attach your file to the bug report. Set my email address (see above) in
the "assigned to" field and I will try and find time to repair the
document for you. After that I will try and figure out what is happening
to cause the problem.
